We're Hiring!

Deckhand Required!

In this little gap between Christmas and the New Year, we might have downed tools but the cogs are still very much whirring so we thought we would use this time to start the search for a new member of our tiny team! Following a bustling first season on the water and with an even busier one ahead, Eda Frandsen is looking for a keen and motivated Deckhand!

We are looking for a person with a genuine passion for wooden boats who would like to pursue a long term career as a sailor, to begin their journey with us. The position would begin in early March and would involve finishing off the winter jobs list, preparing the boat for a busy season and then a back to back season of charters in both Cornwall and Scotland.

The ideal candidate would have a strong sailing background, preferably in dinghy sailing, and some experience driving tenders, however, the job will also include a fair amount of making tea and doing the washing up.

This is an entry-level position and we are not looking for you to have commercial seafarers tickets such as your Yachtmasters just yet, but the desire to learn and grow as a sailor is very important.

If the candidate was interested in staying for a second season on board we would look to contribute towards their study and qualification over the following winter.

You must be:

Fit and able-bodied

Non Smoking

Easy to be around

All food and accommodation will be provided.

Salary dependant on experience.
