Sailing Holidays – No Experience Necessary
With no experience necessary, come and experience traditional sailing at its best. We welcome solo adventurers, couples, or groups of friends or family of all ages. Eda Frandsen is also available for whole boat charter, perfect for a group of up to 8, for a special occasion or great adventure holiday.
Although our skippered sailing holidays have a professional crew, we encourage everyone to join in as this is a truly hands on sailing adventure. With no winches aboard, we use long established methods of block and tackle. There are many opportunities to learn the ropes, hoist sails, steer and enjoy life onboard sailing a beautiful traditional gaff cutter. Getting involved in all aspects of running the boat is good fun, a great adventure and a rewarding teamwork experience.
Of course there is always time to sit back, relax and enjoy the surroundings and the friendly social atmosphere. However much you wish to do is up to you.
Never sailed before? That’s not a problem, many people haven’t and you’ll receive full sail training and guidance on board from our professional and friendly crew. James and Melissa are both qualified sailing instructors who have introduced many people to the joys of sailing as well as life on traditional boats and are happy to share their knowledge. Eda is very stable with large decks and plenty of space, making her an ideal learning platform.
We aim to provide an enjoyable, relaxing and sociable atmosphere onboard combined with a great sailing adventure and a chance to explore new remote locations. After a great sail, why not step ashore or enjoy a great book and glass of wine as the sun sets over the horizon.
No two voyages are the same as we explore new locations each voyage. Whatever the weather, whether rain or shine, is unfortunately out of our control! However, we’ll aim to make the most of it and enjoy the beautiful places among the Scottish Isles!
