Our Trips
Typically we offer 3, 6 and 9 night trips around the Western Isles and generally our trips fill really quickly so best get in touch as early as you can. We do not have a fixed itinerary of destinations. We keep our trips flexible to maximise use of the weather conditions on the day. The area that we sail in has a huge variety of islands and anchoragesfor us to explore. We will always try and incorporate any requests regarding destinations. All cruises start and finish in Mallaig unless otherwise stated. 6 day cruises are to Skye, the Small Isles and Outer Hebrides. 9/10/12 day cruises can include destinations such as St. Kilda, and North Rona, or further afield, weather permitting.
There is a 10% reduction for a whole boat booking.
All unbooked dates are flexible, particularly for groups and whole boat bookings. If you are interested in some specific trip or party booking, please contact us as early as possible.
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is necesary for confirmation of a booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before the start of the trip.
You are reminded to obtain travel insurance to cover the cost of your trip at the time of booking. Any trips cancelled within 6 weeks of sailing will be at the full price unless the berth can be filled.
Conditions
Please note that sailing on Eda Frandsen requires an above average level of fitness and mobility.
Every crew member must be able to;
- Climb a 15 foot vertical ladder to join the boat in Mallaig
- Pull moderately heavy ropes to hoist the sails
- balance on a tilting and moving deck in potentially heavy weather.
In all matters concerning the use of boats, the safety and behaviour of those on board, destinations and weather conditions etc., the skippers’ decision is final.
