After the wettest and windiest May that anybody can remember we can now say with condidence thaty Eda’s storm sails have had a workout. We knew she was strong. Now we know that she is bullet proof! With trysail and reefed staysail she took everything that the weather could throw at her. There were gusts well in excess of 100 knots one day and she took it in her stride. Sorry that there are no pictures of this but it was just too nasty to get the camera out. Weather much better now and the sun has finally come out. Has summer finally arrived?…..

Hi Jamie and Penny,
You’re absolutely right about Eda in the storms; having done 5 or 6 trips on her now I didn’t have any concerns about her in big seas and/or high winds, but it was gratifying to have that confidence well and truly vindicated in the Force 10 and 100mph gusts on Monday 23rd May sailing from Isleornsay to Portree – it was EPIC! Congratulations to Jamie for his fine seamanship and to Penny for always providing wonderful food throughout that stormy week. Say hi to Faye.
